E-commerce

  • Add WooCommerce orders to Mailchimp

Configuring our e-commerce integration allows you to add your WooCommerce products and orders to Mailchimp. This allows you to see exactly how much revenue each email campaign is generating and what products individual subscribers purchased from your store. So how does this all work?

  • Changing Mailchimp list in e-commerce settings

Since Mailchimp API version 3 all e-commerce data is now tied to a single Mailchimp audience. This means that you will not be able to change the connected Mailchimp audience unless you synchronise all of your WooCommerce products, orders & customers with this new audience.

  • Connect WooCommerce store with Mailchimp

Connecting your WooCommerce store with Mailchimp allows you to track all of your products and orders in Mailchimp. If you have our Premium e-commerce integration installed and activated, you can connect your shop in well under a minute.

  • WP-CLI commands for e-commerce

After connecting your store in the plugin’s e-commerce settings, it will ask you whether you want to record all past orders in Mailchimp. By default, this happens by means of your browser sending requests to the server processing batches of 100 orders at a time.

  • Enabling abandoned cart recovery

After you connect your WooCommerce store to Mailchimp and import all your products & orders, you can enable abandoned cart recovery from the MC4WP > E-Commerce page.

  • Upgrading to e-commerce API v3

When running the latest Mailchimp for WordPress Premium plugin and were using the e-commerce integration for WooCommerce, you will be asked whether you’re ready to switch to Mailchimp’s newest API.
